Senior U.S. officers say the USA is pulling roughly 60 % of its employees out of Cuba and warning American vacationers to not go to as a result of “particular assaults” which have harmed U.S. diplomats.

The officers say the U.S. is ordering all nonessential employees within the embassy in Havana to go away, together with all relations. Solely “emergency personnel” will stay.

The U.S. can also be warning Americans they might be harmed in the event that they journey to Cuba. A State Division journey warning will notice that assaults on diplomats have occurred in motels.

The officers say the U.S. is halting visa processing in Cuba indefinitely. They are saying the steps will stay till Cuba can guarantee the U.S. its diplomats are protected.

The officers weren’t approved to remark publicly and demanded anonymity.
