This is the newest Monitoring the Tropics replace for Friday from WDSU meteorologist Kweilyn Murphy. The Nationwide Hurricane Middle is monitoring two disturbances within the tropics together with tropical storms Maria and Lee.
Maria and Lee are churning within the open waters of the northern Atlantic Ocean. The storms, not hurricanes, could have no impacts on the U.S. over the subsequent few days.
Maria has 60 mph winds and is shifting east-northeast at 31 mph. Lee has 70 mph winds and is shifting northeast at 31 mph.
