Ohio woman's kidnapping was a "total fabrication," cops say


BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio — A sheriff’s deputy says a lady lied when she claimed to have been tied up, gagged and kidnapped, CBS affiliate WKRC in Cincinnati reviews.

Thelma Williams, 38, has been charged with making false alarms after telling detectives that a masked man broke into her house this week, tying her up and chopping off her garments. Police stated she claimed the intruder used her telephone to document the incident and posted it to her Fb account.

One Fb publish learn: “Do any of you already know the place your valuable thelma is? I do.”

Williams advised police the intruder referred to as a contact in her telephone and that individual referred to as 911. Authorities discovered her in her basement, loosely tied up together with her garments ripped and gagged with ladies’s underwear.

Sheriff Richard Jones stated a police helicopter looked for the suspect and officers blocked off the close by freeway. Police stated there have been inconsistencies with Williams’ story and she or he ultimately admitted to creating it up for consideration. Jones stated she’d just lately damaged up together with her boyfriend.

Jones stated pretend crimes are an insult to victims of actual crimes. He referred to as Williams’ story was a “complete fabrication” and individuals who make up comparable tales are the “lowest of the low.”

Williams is being held on a $10,000 bond and is predicted in courtroom on Oct. 6.
